Laborhood Change Project, Inc is a unique player in the wellness industry, spear headed by Dr. Nicole Labor, taking an innovative approach to providing health and wellness services that focus on reducing the stigma of addiction, educating patients, families and the community. We provide evidence based education and innovative approaches to the treatment of substance use disorders. Substance Use Disorder is a chronic disease that can be managed. But management does not have to be limited to just abstaining from substances. Once the acute addiction is stabilized, individuals with SUD need to focus on applying wellness principles to ALL areas of their lives to improve their life experience and reduce the chances of relapse. LCP believes that all addicts have the potential to rise from the ashes of addiction and soar.

WHO WE ARE

Dr. Labor graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's of Science degree in BioBehavioral
Health. She attended and graduated medical school in Erie Pennsylvania at the Lake Erie College of osteopathic
medicine. She completed a residency in Family Practice at the State University of New York in Buffalo New York
period followed by a fellowship in addiction medicine through Geisinger in northeastern Pennsylvania. Dr.  Labor is board certified in both family medicine and addiction medicine.  She is
currently the medical director at OneEighty, a treatment center that offers inpatient and outpatient chemical
dependency and behavioral health services in Wooster, OH. She is also the director of the addiction medicine
Fellowship for Summa. Dr. Labor is also medical director for Interval Brotherhood home as well as the EsperTreatment Center in Erie, PA.

Dr. Labor spends a lot of time speaking to healthcare professionals, community members, addicts and their families. Her most requested lecture, Addiction 101, has been hailed as "the best explanation on addiction I have ever heard"

Dr. Labor is a firm believer that treatment from addiction isn't limited to abstinence and counseling. As a chronic disease, self care needs to be chronic. Dr. Labor is currently piloting some programs for her MAT clients such as Yoga for MAT and a workbook discussion group

ALL ABOUT US

Dr. Labor spends time educating healthcare professionals, churches, schools and community members on the disease of addiction and works to remove the stigma surrounding addiction. Many of her lectures have been unofficially recorded and are available on social media. She is known in the addiction community for helping to educate healthcare providers as well as patients and families on the disease of addiction in an understandable way. Dr. Labor seeks to dissolve the stigma around the disease and work with the community to promote healthy sober living.
